Big Lottery England has announced that its Reaching Communities Fund will pause after 15 January 2018 as it develops the application process, trains new staff, and embeds new ways of working into the Fund.
Big Lottery hopes that the changes made to the Fund will make it easier for groups and communities to apply for funding, and will increase its ability to make the best funding decisions.
Currently, voluntary or community groups can apply for grants of between £10,000 and £500,000 to cover the costs of projects which improve communities by using local knowledge, strengths and assets to test and implement the ideas which matter most to communities, as well as sharing learning about what went well, and what didn’t.
All applications received before 15 January 2018 will be processed in the usual manner.
The Reaching Communities Fund will pause 15 January 2018 and re-open 2 April 2018 with new conditions.
