Calderdale Council works with partners, schools and families to make sure children with SEND get the education they need.
They are going to develop a plan to help shape education provision for children with high needs. This plan will help decide what services they should invest in, where they should be, what they should look like and who should run them.
The Council need this plan to be based on solid evidence and need it to be shaped by the people who know the system best: children, young people, families, schools and other partners working with them.
It will take time to develop this plan, but they are starting the process off with this Discovery Event.
This is not a consultation event: they will not turn up with some proposals and ask you what you think of them. This is a chance for you to talk to them about:
- What happens now
- What works for you
- What doesn’t work for you
- What you would like to do to make it different.
This is a FREE event but numbers are limited. If you are interested in attending, please email your name, job title/organisation and contact details to email@example.com.
This is just the start of the conversation… please also contact Sam if you can’t make this first event but you would like to be involved in the future.
