Have a Steampunk Easter and your last chance to catch digiPlaySpace

Eureka! in Halifax is bringing Steampunk and science together for a madcap, zigzag journey through the amazing world of science and technology this Easter holiday – on every day from 24 March to 15 April. Easter will also be the last opportunity to experience the interactive tech of digiPlaySpace before it returns to Canada on 16 April!

Throughout the holidays, the Eureka! Steampunk Scientists will amaze visitors with their theatrical science demonstrations, taking place in the museum. Families will also have the opportunity to watch a brand new science show called The Secret World of Gases, developed with top brains from The Royal Society of Chemistry and BOC (the UK’s biggest gases company), and featuring a wealth of gassy facts and experiments including using liquid nitrogen and dry ice.

From Tuesday 3rd to Sunday 8th April, Victorian scientists Anne and Lottie from Sense-O-Matic will be at Eureka! with their splendorous, spectacular, scientific discovery machine, and from Monday 9th to Sunday 15th April, Audio Anarchy will reveal the mysteries of electromagnetism and sonic sound waves!

For an Easter weekend with a difference, families are also invited to hop-along to meet the Steampunk Easter Bunny for some egg-citing science experiments from Fri 30 March – Mon 2 April.

And don’t forget, this Easter will be your last chance to experience digiPlaySpace in Eureka!’s Spark gallery. Created by Toronto International Film Festival and in Europe for the very first time, digiPlaySpace has brought record crowds to Eureka! since it premiered last summer, giving the museum it’s highest visitors numbers in 20 years. Due to the popularity of the exhibition Eureka! extended its original run, with the exhibition leaving UK shores after the Easter Holidays finish on 15 April.

All activities are included in the price of admission or free to Eureka! Annual Pass Holders.
