The HRUK and SUBWAY® Healthy Heart Grants are currently open to applications from voluntary and community groups, registered charities and other not for profit organisations in Yorkshire.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available for projects that specifically promote heart health or reduce the risk of heart disease.
What can be funded?
- New, innovative projects that specifically promote heart health.
- Projects that run for at least six months but no longer than 12 months.
- Equipment to run the project that costs up to £2,000 or 50% of the total grant (whichever is the smaller amount).
- Contributions to staff salaries or consultant fees if they directly carry out the project.
Grants are not available to continue existing projects, fund overheads or management fees.
How grants are paid
“Funding is paid quarterly in arrears after receiving a comprehensive project report and appropriate invoice. Your organisation should be in a position to start and sustain your project until funds are released.”
The deadline for applying for a grant in the Yorkshire region is 2 September 2016.
