From Monday 24 August until noon on Friday 11 September, the fund will be open for applications from charities, social enterprises, community groups and state-funded schools and colleges based in the UK and Ireland.
Making a difference in our communities is often about helping people help themselves. The Skills & Opportunities Fund commits £2.5m per year to fund projects aimed at helping people to learn new skills, get into work or start a business, and has already given away over £1m to help 42 inspiring projects dedicated to making a difference in our disadvantaged communities. You can find out more about the winners and keep up to date with the progress of their projects at skillsandopportunitiesfund.natwest.com
By supporting the priceless work that not-for-profit organisations carry out in these areas, they can help even more people to help themselves and grow stronger communities. Once the application period has closed, they’ll publish a list of all the projects shortlisted for funding online. Voting will then be open to the public between Friday 30 October & Friday 6 November and the successful projects will receive funding in December this year.
So, if you think the Skills and Opportunities Fund could help you to make a difference in your community, please visit their website to check you are eligible and they will let you know how you can apply for a grant of up to £35,000 from Monday 24 August.
