Calderdale Council is undertaking a strategic review of their high needs provision for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
As part of this process, they want to consult with local authority officers and SEND partners about current and future levels of need and provision. The consultation will also be asking how Calderdale Council can best use the £500K capital funding from the Department of Education to help fund the creation of new school places and/or to improve existing facilities for children and young people with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). To this, Calderdale Council have also allocated up to £2.5 million of basic needs funding for capital projects to create new school places.
