This is your chance to be part of a fantastic project in central Halifax which aims to better understand and address the structural and personal reasons behind inactivity amongst local residents to enable community campaigns, projects and activities that encourage people to increase their levels of activity and wellbeing.
Physical activity means different things to many people in Calderdale. For some it’s the gym, going for a run, cycling or sport. For others it’s walking, gardening, dancing or commuting. For some it’s about fitness and losing weight, for others it’s about connecting with friends and family, and for some it’s about maintaining their physical health, mental health or independence – the list is endless, and unique to everyone.
You will need:
- Experience of developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships that deliver impact
- Experience of bringing together decision-makers and local communities to facilitate system wide changes
- An understanding of equality and diversity issues within a diverse and multicultural environment with a commitment to tackling discriminatory practices
- Local knowledge of communities and resources within central Halifax.
