Grants are available for small charities, community groups and schools across Yorkshire that are working to improve local green spaces and wildlife habitats through tree planting projects, improving access to woodland, environmental management and education projects.
Projects that aim to use environmental activity to promote good physical and mental health are also of interest.
Grants of between £500 and £4,000 are available.
The Bettys Trees for Life Fund has been established by Yorkshire institution, Bettys, as part of the activities to mark its centenary year in 2019 and aims to celebrate the company’s long-term passion for trees and desire to enhance the local environment and to improve access to and education about the natural world and the green spaces around us. The scheme is administered on its behalf by the Two Ridings Community Foundation.
