Thanks to National Lottery players, Foxhill Forum has secured a grant of £256,108 over 4 years from the Big Lottery Fund to develop and deliver a brand new Reaching Out Community Befriending Service. This brand new service works with and support socially isolated local people (those identified as the hardest to reach) through befriending, developing their confidence either in their own home or another venue and offering tailored support encouraging them to participate in wider community opportunities.
They are looking to recruit a Community Connector & Relationship Builder to join their front line delivery team. The post is a new and exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in making a difference to the lives of others.
The post holder, who will report to the Chief Executive, will be responsible for developing and building productive relationships with isolated local people, supporting them to develop their confidence through taster activities and interventions, and guide them towards accessing mainstream opportunities. A natural and effective communicator, someone who is motivating and encouraging and has an interest in supporting and developing others.
