Volunteers are required to take people out into towns and countryside – specifically on short walks from local GP practices.
In conjunction with Active Calderdale and Pennine Prospects, SPLAT training has developed a one day course to help lead walks safely and with confidence. It is a collaborative, fun day designed to develop your skills in leading walks. Talk with other volunteers, learn from an experienced walk leader build your skills and gain a Basic First Aid Certificate.
You will cover:
First Aid: Basic Life Support and safe use of a defibrillator
The course is free of charge and the ask from you is that you start up a walk in your local area.
