Avoiding the Pitfalls of Property Law

Legal experts from hlw Keeble Hawson are hosting a breakfast workshop on how to avoid the legal pitfalls of property.

The aim of the event is to equip attendees with valuable insights into the key areas below:

  • Considerations for tenants entering into a new commercial lease – A rundown of several of the key issues facing tenants when looking at entering into new leases of commercial premises including analysis of some of the common problem areas, recent market trends and discussion of some of the important practical factors to consider before committing to a lease.
  • Property Litigation Update – An update on some of the recent case law affecting the landlord and tenant relationship and how this is likely to impact upon tenants.
  • Break Clauses – pitfalls for tenants – A more in depth look at one of the common problem areas for tenants including analysis of some of the recent case law in this area.
  • The Charities Act and Property transactions – A summary of some of the often overlooked statutory requirements applying to trustees dealing with the entering into of property transactions including sales, purchases and leases. Advice as to how to ensure compliance is dealt with at an early stage and does not cause delays with often urgent deals.
