Food Poverty Meeting to take place in Halifax. Yorkshire’s leading food charity, FareShare will be in attendance.
FareShare Yorkshire redistributes in-date surplus food to hundreds of vital frontline organisations each week. At present, the charity passes on 115 tonnes of good food that never made it to supermarket each month and a wide spectrum of organisations can apply to access the provision. Most charities and community groups save £7,900 each per year which they can reinvest in protecting or enhancing their services. As of March 2019, the food feeds 22,000 vulnerable, isolated or disadvantaged people each week. To apply to access this service, please see www.fareshareyorkshire.org
10am start. If you would like to attend please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please feel free to pass this on to any group that offers service users food.
