This event falling at the time of Remembrance Sunday and Diwali, the Indian Festival of Lights, commemorates the unknown history of the great sacrifices made by Sikh, Muslim and Hindu soldiers from the Indian sub-continent fighting as part of the British Army during the First World War.
This mixed media event will feature traditional Indian dances, music and poetry reading by Dr Richard Coaten, followed by talks from guest speakers Dr Andrew Beck and Amerdeep Panesar.
