Children’s Vulnerability Symposium

West Yorkshire Consortium of Multi-Agency Safeguarding Children Trainers present a Children’s Vulnerability Symposium.

Opening:
Keynote speech — Chair Professor Nick Frost, followed by the opportunity for participants to engage in multi-agency focused discussions on three different types of vulnerability for children and young people.

The sessions will be facilitated by subject specialists in the various aspects of vulnerability from the following:

  • Children & young people who misuse substances
  • Children from the traveller community
  • LGBT Children
  • Unaccompanied asylum seeking children
  • Children with additional educational needs
  • Children at risk of being radicalised
  • Children and young people struggling with emotional health and wellbeing issues
  • Missing Children and young people
  • Children who are looked after
  • Babies
  • The unborn child
  • Children with a disability
  • Young carers
  • Gangs and antisocial behaviour
  • Children returning from care

The session will close with all attendees highlighting an action they can take forward to their practice.

Target audience: practitioners and their supervisors who work directly with children & young people with a range of vulnerabilities
