The PCC’s sixth annual conference will take place on Thursday 15th November at Leeds Civic Hall, a short walk from Leeds Train Station. It is organised by the PCC in collaboration with Safer Leeds, Leeds Community Safety Partnership.
The event will be opened Mark Burns-Williamson, the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire.
The topic for this year’s conference is early intervention and prevention, increasingly recognised as the key challenge in the joint efforts to keep West Yorkshire safe and feeling safe, and to reduce crime.
Participants will hear a range of perspectives on the challenges involved and barriers to be overcome to make early intervention and prevention a reality, including from service users, the third sector and the public sector. They will formulate recommendations to the PCC and other partners in West Yorkshire to move this hugely important agenda forward.
