Arts Council England promotes the Creative Case for diversity, an arts-driven approach that celebrates diversity as opportunity and represents a shift in perspective, from regarding diversity as a prescriptive aspect of equality legislation to understanding its creative potential and the ways in which it can promote long-term organisational resilience.
By bringing together examples of good practice, they aim to share knowledge, inspire colleagues and discuss ways forward in changing and challenging times ahead for museums and galleries.
Keynote speaker: Ann Fletcher-Williams, Relationship Manager, Diversity, North, Arts Council England. With contributions from The Museums Association, West Yorkshire Local Authority Museum Partnership, and Bradford Museums and Galleries.
The event will be facilitated by Kate Wafer of Wafer Hadley and will include opportunity for discussion and knowledge exchange.
The event is free and includes lunch and refreshments.
