Monday: Colour of life
A morning of activities around the theme of colour, inspired by their beautiful windows and fabrics. Think about how colour works using fabric dyes, paint and other materials.
Suitable for all ages, bring an apron.
Tuesday: History comes to life
A journey through history meeting and becoming different characters from the Minster’s history including the creator of the gibbet, the Minster monks and Old Tristrum.
A time to dress up and have some fun!
Wednesday: Bread for Life
Make bread and soup for your lunch! A chance to think about the magic of breadmaking and the importance of bread for the Minster. Discover other interesting foodie facts and fictions.
Suitable for all ages, bring an apron!
Thursday: Music of Life
Explore the bells and the bell tower of Halifax Minster, use hand bells and discover the organ. Learn how to play the theme tune to Harry Potter!
Suitable for 7 plus, be aware that the bell tower is accessed through a narrow dark spiral staircase.
