We have been offered free training by ‘Preferred Futures’ to develop the person centred and family friendly approaches required by the new EHC assessment and planning process. The training will explore the usefulness of the Family Group Conference and how they can be used to enhance the EHC planning process.

Preferred Futures is a recently established company based in South Yorkshire who provide a range of Family Services and in particular has expertise and experience in Family Group Conferencing (FGC). The aim is to help vulnerable families to find their own solutions by empowering individuals to make lasting changes resulting in these families living their preferred futures.
FGC coordinators act as a conduit between families and agencies to identify and bring together all potential support networks to enable them to make the best possible plans.
