Family Voice Calderdale is the parent carer forum for Calderdale. It was established in 2003 and works in partnership with local services to seek the views of parent carers of children and young people with disabilities and additional needs.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘A Charter for Parent Carers and Practitioners’.
Following on from last year’s conference, when work on the values and commitments underpinning the charter began, parent carers are invited to come along and hear about proposals for a new charter on ‘working together’ and how parent carers and practitioners can get the best from each other. Participants will have a real opportunity to comment on how the charter could be developed further.
The keynote speaker will be Lorraine Mulroney from NHS England. Lorraine is Senior Nurse Children & Young People, SEND Programme Lead and will talk about the role NHS England has in ensuring individuals are working together to build good and productive relationships.
If you want to have a chance to find out how the system works and shape it, then come along and be part of launching the charter. It is your opportunity to have a voice and make a difference.
