The theme is LANGUAGE SUPPORT FOR ADULT REFUGEES
The new toolkit is a free resource designed to assist organisations, especially volunteers, providing language support for adult refugees in a range of settings.
This free event is for volunteers and volunteer organisers who provide and/or co-ordinate language support/ESOL for adult refugees and asylum seekers.
This workshop will introduce the toolkit – its aims, how it is organised and provide an overview of the resources. You will have a chance to try out some of the resources and discuss how they can be used in your work with refugees.
There will also be time for you to share ideas about how the resources can be adapted and network with colleagues.
This event is being organised by Learning Unlimited with support from the Council of Europe and in partnership with Migration Yorkshire.
Places are free, but are limited to 30 for this one-off special session. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
To book your free place, please go to https://languagesupportforadultrefugees_vt.eventbrite.co.uk
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and you are welcome to bring lunch.
