You are invited to the grand opening and official launch of Halifax Society for the Blind’s (HSB) Sight Centre in their new premises. The Mayor of Calderdale, Councillor Dot Foster, will be cutting the ribbon. A buffet lunch will be provided and you will have an opportunity to learn more about what’s on offer.
This new service has already started to provide practical support and advice to people impacted by sight loss:
This new service is run by a small and dedicated team of professionals and volunteers, and the service operates between 10am and 2.30pm, Monday to Friday. People requiring additional support for complex issues can also have an appointment a little earlier, or soon after these times. They are confident that the new service – which was part funded by the Big Lottery, will offer the widest range of products anywhere in West Yorkshire. This is an important time for people and families affected by sight loss, and are keen to start the much needed conversations that will improve life for those using the service.
If you would like to attend or for more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01422 352383. Anybody with special dietary requirements should specify when booking.
