Intentional Compassion: The Art within the Science

How to be fully and compassionately present when working with others or living through challenging circumstances, including mental and physical illness, loneliness, loss and end of life.

This experiential day is led by international trainer Ted Bowman from Minnesota, USA. Ted is a highly acclaimed experienced and charismatic trainer whose workshops on grief and loss and on organisational change and transition have been held in Europe and the United States for over 40 years.

This workshop focuses on the importance of intentional compassion and how this can be developed and expressed both in professional practice and in daily living.

Objectives for the day:

  • To identify the importance of intentional compassion for working in challenging circumstances.
  • To develop skills for applying compassion in daily work and life.
  • To deepen an understanding of the spiritual and existential co-ordinates from which compassion arises.

The participation fee for the day is £35.00. This includes lunch and refreshments. Early Bird booking before 21st September is £25.00. NHS Staff and concessions fee is £25.00
