Making Twitter work for you: a practical workshop for senior VCS leaders

October 21, 2014 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

It is now essential that all staff are familiar with the potential of social media, are using it appropriately and that its potential is maximised.

It is especially valuable if the senior team is participating in social media or at the very least, familiar with its potential and basic principles.

This is the fifth ‘Making Twitter work for you’ workshop that Involve Yorkshire & Humber has run for leaders and senior people. It has been designed to allow for discussion around the strategic and practical issues involved in this way of communicating and building strategic relationships online, alongside hands-on experience for both beginners and those seeking to develop their skills and understanding.

Who should attend:

  • Senior leaders of Yorkshire VCS and CVS organisations

You will leave with:

  • An understanding of the strategic potential of Twitter for developing relationships and networks
  • An understanding of Twitter etiquette and the issues involved in the developing world of social media
  • A preliminary analysis of how you and your organisation might be able to use it
  • Enhanced practical understanding of how to use Twitter and what you might require to become proficient

  • £40 for members
  • £70 for non-members
