PTSD is estimated to affect one in every three people who have a traumatic experience. It can develop immediately after someone experiences a disturbing event(s) or it can occur weeks, months or even years later.
This Masterclass is led by Andrew Hollingworth, a qualified Social Worker and a PhD researcher at the University of Huddersfield. Prior to entering social work, Andrew was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder having been kidnapped and tortured in China during a routine business trip. This gives Andrew a key insight into the lived experience of PTSD and importantly considers interventions to help recovery.
