The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust encourage key stakeholders to be involved in the recruitment of staff. These include managers and teams within a service but can also include service users, carers and volunteers.
They recognise that staff attitudes and behaviours can have a major impact on quality of care as well as the overall service user experience, so it is critical they don’t just recruit based on an applicant’s knowledge and skills, but also their values and behaviours.
The Trust is offering individuals who have an interest in recruiting their future workforce the opportunity to attend training on how they recruit for values.
