Message from Mark Burns-Williamson, West Yorkshire Police & Crime Commissioner:
Tackling Road Safety is a key priority within my new Police and Crime Plan, it is a significant issue in our communities which covers a broad range of issues, it can only be tackled effectively if the police and partners like the councils, highways agency and charities all work together to improve safety on our roads and as such I would like to invite you to attend an event which will explore the issue further.
The objectives of the event will be to listen to partners and communities, understand what is required to tackle road safety effectively across West Yorkshire and identify key shared goals with the police, our partners and our communities.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Could I please ask that you confirm your attendance by contacting the Engagement Team (stating your name and organisation) via firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01924 294021.
If you are unable to attend but have views you would like to express; please post or email your comments to the Engagement Team via the above email address. Alternatively, if you would prefer to talk to an officer from the OPCC in person, please get in touch.
I do hope you can attend this important event and I look forward to working with you on 14 November 2016 and in the future.
