Safeguarding Children in the Digital World

December 1, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

West Yorkshire Police are working in collaboration with The Marie Collins Foundation to highlight the national issue of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the internet, including chat forums and other interactive platforms. Many young people engage with strangers online, not knowing who they are talking to, their age or their intentions.

This event will give you the chance to learn about the new developments in preventing online abuse of children – the ultimate goal being that no child suffers harm through the online environment. As well as West Yorkshire Police, key speakers will include, CC Simon Bailey NPCC Lead for Child Protection and a number of other guest speakers who will share their experiences on this issue.
