Calderdale Safeguarding Children Board and Calderdale Safeguarding Adults Board are pleased to announce the forthcoming joint venture: Safeguarding Week 2015.
The aim of the week is to raise awareness of the role for ‘everyone’ in safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and to highlight support and intervention for vulnerable people throughout Calderdale.
This will be a unique event for Calderdale, bringing attention to a large number of coordinated Safeguarding activities and events in one week to members of the public and professionals.
In addition to activities and learning events, there will be market stalls held in localities which will provide opportunities for agencies to promote their services via leaflets, stands and networking.
Safeguarding Week will also provide opportunities for staff from Adults and Children’s services to work in partnership, learn more about each other’s roles and services and enhance positive working relationships.
How are you and your staff contributing to Safeguarding Week? Do you want to raise awareness of your service area? Can you offer a venue for one of the training sessions, events or market places? Have you ideas to add to the success of this initiative?
If you can contribute to making this one of the most effective awareness raising events to take place in Calderdale, please contact Allison Waddell to discuss your offer.
