THIS WILL BE AN ONLINE EVENT VIA ZOOM.
From the insight and information we have been collating about the impact coronavirus is having on our sector, there is understandably a feeling of unease, uncertainty and some fear for a lot of us at this time. Many of you are working with very vulnerable people who are already leading very complex lives. We also know that there are reduced services on offer which will result in more people facing chaos and crisis.
VAC are facilitating an opportunity for local Voluntary & Community groups in their membership to have a virtual meeting place to ensure we remain connected, ensure there is a platform for peer support and where we can discuss the current impact on the sector from COVID-19 and help each other to look at viable solutions to support the individuals and communities who rely on the invaluable services the VCS provides. We hope to be able to look at the themes as they emerge and to put in a collective emergency response to Local Government and Health.
VAC staff will be moderating the online webinar including our CEO, Dipika Kaushal, Business Support & Development Manager, Lee Griffiths and Communications & Membership Services Officer, Emma Worsley. We are also working with the VSI Alliance and Calderdale Council on helping to support the sector.
On this session, we will also be joined by Councillor Scott Patient who is now supporting voluntary sector work, as his Cabinet role has been extended during the pandemic, building on the incredible community response to the floods.
Once registered, we will circulate the link for you to join the zoom webinar.
In the meantime, if you need to talk to VAC or the VSI Alliance about your organisation’s current situation, please call 01422 348777.
