Last year, in partnership with West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Leeds Beckett ran a survey looking at the community and social enterprise sector in West Yorkshire. As the second stage of the research, they are now conducting discussion groups across Yorkshire, open to representatives of community and social enterprises or organisations/groups which do some social enterprise activity – you do not have to have completed the survey to take part.
These groups are intended as an opportunity for you to discuss your experience and the support your organisation needs in an informal and confidential environment.
You may also be aware that late last year, the Community Foundation for Calderdale (CFFC), in partnership with several other local organisations, conducted a consultation into the needs of local social enterprises. They have now teamed up with SEE Ahead, Calderdale Council and Social Enterprise Yorkshire & Humber (SEYH), who were all involved, to share information and avoid duplication of work. As such, it is hoped that these discussion groups will feed both into the wider project being conducted by Leeds Beckett and WYCA and the work being done by Calderdale organisations.
If you plan to attend, please email email@example.com confirming whether you intend to join Halifax group 1 or Halifax group 2.
