This new Healthy Minds group is for anyone who is interested in experiencing the benefits of walking for wellbeing. Getting outside into the fresh air and taking some exercise can be a great way to get fit, meet people and feel well, but if you are struggling with low mood, anxiety or just not feeling too good, getting the motivation to take that first step can be difficult.
This friendly group takes regular walks throughout Calderdale, so people don’t have to take that first step alone.
Meet at 1.30pm outside Wilkos in Brighouse on Briggate, 2 minutes away from the bus station. Please arrive 15 minutes before to register. This is a circular walk of 2 hours maximum. There are no major slopes or stiles, but you will be walking by the canal and it may be muddy. Wear appropriate footwear and be advised to bring water. Suitable for pushchairs. No Dogs. You may wish to bring binoculars if you wish to do a bit of bird spotting!
