Grants are available for not-for-profit organisations to set up one or more new football teams in England over the next two years.
There is a total of £1.5 million for 2019. Organisations are able to receive a grant of £1,500 per new team created over two or three years with financial support being reduced in the second or third year of the project.
The Grow the Game grant scheme is provided and administered by the Football Foundation to stimulate and sustain increased participation in football at a grass-roots level. The funding is for the creation of new football teams and coaching qualifications.
The funding is for projects that use football to increase participation by both players and volunteers.
