Since the launch of Threeways in June 2013, a small staff team and plenty of willing volunteers from the local community have made it their mission to tireless invest into the local community.
During this time Threeways has been successful in re-launching the former Ridings Sports Centre, now with over 100 active gym members and hundreds more visitors each week taking part in sports from badminton to netball. Threeways have also built a successful volunteer programme which has helped people back into work through work experience and training. One of the achievements coming from the programme has been the magazine which has been the fruit of two former volunteers both of which are now apprentices working at Threeways.
That’s why the team were happy to gain recognition for their hard work and creativity. On July 10th, at a ceremony held at Berties @ la Cachette in Elland, Dave Walsh, Martin Durgan, Stephen Greening and Hailey Dennis proudly collect an award which named Threeways centre as ‘best new charity’ in Halifax couriers 2014 community spirits award. You may have seen the feature in the article run by the Halifax courier which covered the awards. Threeways are immensely proud of this achievement and would like to extend their thanks to everyone who has played a part in helping Threeways to grow and develop as an organisation. They are always on the lookout for individuals willing to offer their time and volunteer to help them continue to grow.
