The Children’s Safeguarding Partnership and the Adults Safeguarding Board are pleased to announce that, despite limitations, they are going ahead with Safeguarding Week 2020, alongside colleagues in West Yorkshire, albeit in a different format to previous years.
Following discussions with partners in the planning group, they have agreed topical themes for the week (one per day) and have started to collate information and opportunities for learning that is available on these subjects.
Although this offer is mainly aimed at practitioners, the hope is that all partners will use social media to promote the messages, resources and support that is aimed at members of the public and service users.
Please forward your contact details to Heather.Pritchard@calderdale.gov.uk so that she can make sure your organisation receives all supporting materials.
They would like you to add to this table by, for example, producing a short video, briefing sheet or other learning tool on a related subject, identifying any other key messages you think are important (general and from your organisation perspective), different methods that could be employed to deliver the information (including resources that you already use/have access to) which can be uploaded or linked to the CSAB/CSCP website and which you can provide in order to ensure it is multi-agency, relevant and accessible for a range of practitioners.
They will collate all the information for inclusion in a calendar/brochure/ which will sit on their website during Safeguarding Week and which will be available for you to use as you see fit and to promote via your communications. They will also link with colleagues across West Yorkshire in order to maximise the offer.
