If you are looking for a new challenge and want to be part of delivering an innovative response to tackling domestic abuse, then this could be the role for you. This is an exciting opportunity to join Restorative Solutions and take a key role in delivering CARA across West Yorkshire.
CARA targets standard risk domestic abuse offenders by offering two domestic abuse awareness raising workshops as part of a conditional caution issued by West Yorkshire Police. They are working in partnership with the Hampton Trust to deliver CARA workshops across the area.
They are looking for individuals who have experience of working with both female and male victims/survivors of domestic abuse and an aptitude and ability to engage individuals from a range of backgrounds.
Pairs of workshops for offenders are delivered on Saturdays, 4 to 5 weeks apart, for separate, single sex groups of offenders of intimate partner/ex intimate partner domestic abuse, and of non-intimate partner interfamilial abuse.
Between the two workshops your role will be to make contact with victims/survivors, via
telephone at a time convenient to and safe for the victim/survivor and with their consent, in order to gain their input and feedback on any changes in the offenders’ behaviour (positive or negative), any concerns they might have, to identify any risks or safeguarding issues, and any further support needs.
Further details and an application form can be obtained from KateHook@restorativesolutions.org.uk
Interviews will be via video on a date to be confirmed.
Please note: NPPV Level 2 vetting will be required.
